reading difficulties for students

Our Manifesto

We believe that every person is unique.

We believe that every person has untapped potential.

We believe that people learn differently.

We believe that dyslexic people learn best when a Structured Literacy approach is used to establish literacy foundations.

We believe that a good teacher is a skilled communicator, an empathetic listener, a patient collaborator, an engaging and innovative practitioner, a gracious enabler, and a life-long learner.

We believe that a good teacher builds confidence and self-esteem in their students.

We believe that good teachers have a plan and a learning strategy.

We believe that every person has a God-given gift that they can contribute to their community.

We believe that reading and writing problems and difficulties are overcome with a positive attitude, explicit and innovative structured strategies.

We believe that teaching language in an explicit, systematic, cumulative, diagnostic and direct manner, using a multisensory approach – a Structured Literacy approach – will enhance everyone’s language skills.
